How to read your Human Design chart
A suggested order for reading a Human Design chart without getting lost in every gate, line, and detail at once.
Start with the core summary
Begin with Type, Strategy, Authority, and Profile. These are commonly used as the first orientation points in Human Design and provide context before you explore smaller chart elements.
Then look at structure
Review Definition and the nine Centers, then explore complete Channels. Defined and open areas are visual chart states, not medical or psychological diagnoses. Use the interpretation text as a vocabulary guide and compare it with lived experience.
Add detail gradually
Gates, Lines, Incarnation Cross themes, and advanced variables can add detail when the calculation engine supports them. There is no need to understand the entire chart in one session. Saved history lets you return to the same verified result later.
