How Profile, Centers, Channels, Gates, and Lines fit into the larger Human Design chart.
Profile and Lines
Profile is written as two Line numbers and is interpreted in Human Design as a recurring way of engaging with experience and other people. Each Line also has its own traditional themes. The platform presents the calculated values and versioned explanatory content separately.
Centers and Channels
Centers are the larger geometric areas of the BodyGraph. A complete Channel links two Centers and contributes to definition in the chart. Interpretations may discuss recurring themes associated with defined and open structures without treating them as diagnoses.
Gates
Gates are numbered positions associated with the BodyGraph and planetary activations in Human Design. A Gate can be activated without forming a complete Channel. The activation table is the most direct place to confirm which Gate and Line values were calculated.
