Understanding the BodyGraph
Learn what centers, channels, gates, and activation details represent in the platform's Human Design BodyGraph.
Centers
The BodyGraph contains nine centers. The visual state shows whether each center is defined or open in the calculated chart. The accessible chart details also expose these states in text so the information is not available only through color or shape.
Channels and gates
Channels connect centers and are formed by their gates according to Human Design rules. Individual gate activations are shown separately from complete channels. Use the chart details table when you want an exact textual list of activations.
The graphic is not the whole result
The BodyGraph is a compact visualization. The chart summary, activation details, and interpretation text are equally important for understanding what the engine calculated, especially for keyboard and screen-reader users.
